[00:00:29] Pretties today's episode is a culmination of an extensive amount of learning I have done on the mental, physical, emotional, and spiritual side, when it comes to energy. Imagine that you have a cup and it's full of water, but when you bump into something, some spills out the top. And no matter how full you get the cup, if there is a big hole in it, it's going to be leaking out liquid. You're not pouring it out intentionally.
[00:01:04] No, it's just dribbling out and no matter how much you stick to your sleep schedule and your eating protocol, you still feel like some of your energy is just circling the drain. Somehow it's just slipping away and you never have enough energy in your cup to do all the things that you want to do.
[00:01:25] So today, pretties, we are talking about energy leaks because it is near impossible to rise into the next level of your life. When you are dribbling and leaking all over the place. We don't want none of that.
[00:01:41] Another way to look at this is when a nail. A hole in your car tire, you can get away with a temporary fix, so you can continue to drive on it for a few more weeks.
[00:01:53] But if you leave that hole in your attire, unattended, it'll eventually cause a flat tire which will lead to a damage rim, which might be a car accident, all of these other huge consequences and will be way more expensive to repair.
[00:02:12] This episode is here to help you to get your energy back. To teach you how you can become more aware of your energetic triggers, how you can do. The self audit for your most expensive energy leaks and some really cool ways that you can reinvest your energy so that you can have more in your reserves, so that your energy dividends can build over time.
[00:02:40] When a human is under stress, More bio photons, which is a leaking of life force that results in a loss of order and integrity throughout your system. So we literally leak out light as a result of stress and trauma. We lose our sparkle and this is a real scientific description of how the light in our eyes and the brightness and our beans go dim as a result of stress.
[00:03:08] Experiments have been conducted that use these biophoton counters and cameras to capture the bio photon activity. And it will show that meditating, monks give off very little light where people who are under stress are emitting huge amounts of lights out of their body and the field around them.
[00:03:30] But here is the good news pretties, the energy that we have leaked during periods of our lives, when we are under stress it's not lost and gone forever. The light and energy that we lose during those turbulent times. Stays in our own atmosphere and we can actually return it to its rightful place in your body.
[00:03:51] It's almost like reversing the aging process. Yes. Coaching with me is anti-aging because we can reverse the aging process by cultivating photonic density. Some of my clients have shown me pictures of themselves. And they're like, I feel younger at 51 than I did at 35 because they are managing their energy in an entirely different way.
[00:04:20] So pretty's, what are your energy leaks? What are the activities, habits, behaviors, commitments, obligations, people, and other aspects of your energy that zap it away. I'm going to share mine, but first I want us to try something together.
[00:04:37] I'm so tired of blank. I wish I didn't have to do blank anymore. If I'm in totally honest, I'm feeling resentful about blank. Blank usually leaves me feeling pretty depleted. I often find myself doing blank, but I regretted afterwards and wish I didn't do that.
[00:04:57] You can check out the show notes for these exact questions. Here are some areas that I have found that energy leaks from my own life.
[00:05:06] When you buy into a disparaging comment from someone, maybe it's a comment from a troll online, you are plagued by repetitive, painful thoughts.
[00:05:17] Like how could they, what an a**hole. I can't believe they did this. Maybe you even share this story with other people. So then you're like leaking energy twice.
[00:05:25] Another one is when you are out of touch with your inner authority or your intuition, you are forcing yourself to do the things you are looking for, the answers outside yourself, and you are just having to.
[00:05:36] I spend way more energy than you would if you were actually slowing down to listen to yourself. Another energy leak is gossip. We put our energy into problems that are not ours and to talking about other people and things that we can't control, this energy leak is huge pretties and it is unmade decisions. Anything that you have not decided. Anything that you have not made a decision on. I would write that down as an energy leak. It is clutter in your mind, and it is leaking out your precious life force.
[00:06:08] Another energy leak is unclear boundaries. When someone says there'll be stopping by, or they ask you to do something and you are not asking by when do you need this or what time are you coming over?
[00:06:20] Another huge energy leak pretties is multitasking when you are trying to get a bunch of stuff done at once. That doesn't mean. It's all about unitasking. [00:06:40] Another very dangerous energy leak is when your awareness is constantly living in the future. You already made assumptions about why someone didn't respond to your email or why you haven't heard back about a contract you pitched for, when you go into that place, you are, you are leaking your energy.
[00:06:59] When you put too much emphasis on the outcome of something, you are leaking energy, This energy leak is a hybrid of procrastination and also being too future focused.
[00:07:10] Every day you get a finite amount of energy to spend and how you choose to spend your energetic currency is up to you.
[00:07:19] When my private one-on-one coaching clients come to me, they have no idea how much energy they are giving away, and then they wonder why they keep getting into energy. When it comes to energy in caffeine, doesn't make up for an energy leak. It might give you a quick boost.
[00:07:38] For example, let's say if you don't have any money and someone lent you $5, that might get you $5. So you can get a donut in the morning. But like that $5 is not going to make up for having zero money in the bank.
[00:07:51] Speaking of money. Every person's situation and thought has a cost associated with. I would assume everyone who's listening to this podcast understands the concept of money.
[00:08:02] And it would be like, if you went into a store and you just bought everything that was for sale. And then you ended up spending, let's say a hundred thousand dollars when you go into target. Cause you were like, well, it was there and it had a price tag and it said that I should buy it. So I bought it. And that is how most of you pretties are spending your energy.
[00:08:23] You are just literally giving it away. She just like bleeding out of it. You're like, oh, here, take my energy, take my energy, take my ads. A great question to ask yourself, is, is this a responsible use of my energy and make that filter for yourself? Because people are always going to want something from you always.
[00:08:41] If someone invites you to doubt yourself, or if somebody invites you to fear something, you want to have the mental and emotional boundaries in place to protect yourself so that you're not leaking all of your energy after a conversation and you are worrying about the fears that they installed in your mind or these doubts that they planted. Because where your mind goes, your energy follows.
[00:09:06] You only want to send your mind where you want it to grow in your life.
[00:09:11] When I do an energy inventory with client, The way that they are talking to themselves, usually ends up being the area where most of their energy is getting lost.
[00:09:22] It's in the mind, it's in the thoughts because wherever your mind goes, that's the direction where you're sending your energy. be sure that you're taking responsibility for every thought that's going through your mind. And if you don't like that thought, if you don't like the direction that thought is going and how your thought is taking your energy, stop it.
[00:09:41] Cancel it. You don't need to pick it up. I just imagine we're like, I love Lucy and there's just a conveyor belt of them going by. They can just go by, we don't need a big all of them, but we don't to be like stuffing all the chocolates into our uniform. Instead you can redirect your mind to something that's actually going to serve you in your life.
[00:09:59] Something that's going to help you build energy and channel your energy towards what you actually want to grow in your life.
[00:10:06] I am encouraging all of you pretties to become energy bankers. Look at the ways that you are investing your energy and investing it in ways that yield a high positive rate of return, investing your energy in ways that fuel you.
[00:10:23] I want all of you pretties to start thinking about your energy, like money and imagining that you get a hundred dollars every day and that's it.
[00:10:32] People ask me where I get the energy to coach 20 clients a week, create a new podcast episode show up on social media every day, go to my boxing studio five days a week, take Chandler on a hike every day. And the answer is that I get all of this energy from the places that I used to leak it. I regained all this energy. It compounds into higher levels of energy for other people. And then this energy flows back into your life, in the form of meaning and fulfillment.
[00:11:02] I'm telling you, you don't need to get better at managing your time, which is finite, but managing your energy. Would you consistent magically increase and regularly renew?
[00:11:12] As human beings, we need four different sources of energy to operate at our best physical, emotional, mental, and spiritual. And none of them is sufficient like by itself because they all influence one another.
[00:11:26] Let's start with our physical energy. Am I getting. The sleep? Am I exercising? Has the pace of my life gotten out of hand because I take a lot of stuff on, am I taking breaks when I need them? Am I drinking enough water? A simple rule for this pretties is if you eat sh*t, you feel like sh*t.
[00:11:45] If you don't take breaks, you actually weaken your ability to stay calm under pressure. And if you don't move your body, then you are preventing neurogenesis from taking place. There is a future pretty pretty podcast episode that is all about physical, food moving your body and how you can get more energy in this area.
[00:12:06] 90% of your energy can be restored without even touching the physical area. Like you could just eat cookie dough all day, every day, and you will still get 90% of your energy back if you focus on these three other areas like emotional energy. Do you feel tired after talking to certain people? Are you holding onto wanting things to be a certain way? Do you have guilt or resentment? Do you tend to focus on all the things that are not going right and feel frustrated? And I want you to ask yourself, are these the areas where you want to be spending your energy? Where is your energy being wasted?
[00:12:48] Mental energy. are you thinking about how you can't wait to quit your job? Do you worry about the outcome of things? Question mark? Yes or no? Okay. You're leaking Do you overthink every decision? Are you researching, are you being like, I don't know, should I do this?
[00:13:05] Should I do that? Do you make decisions? And then you go back and you think, did I make the right one energy leak, energy leak.
[00:13:11] Do you say that you're overwhelmed and exhausted and that you feel like all of your nerves are fried because of everything that you have on your plate? And are you multitasking?
[00:13:20] All of these, tell yourself yes or no. These are energy leaks for you to look into.
[00:13:24] And spiritually, does your life have a sense of meaning and purpose, or did it get lost somewhere along the way? Do you feel that what you do matters and really makes a difference in your life and the lives of others?
[00:13:38] Are you overly focused on helping others and forgetting to fill your own cup with what you need?
[00:13:44] When we have meaning and purpose, we get a lot of energy and more focus in life because when we believe that what we are doing matters, our body finds the energy for it.

[00:14:42] Now that you are aware of the four different areas of energy that we all need to have in our life, physical energy, emotional energy, mental energy, and spiritual energy,
[00:14:56] You're going to do an energy leak audit.
[00:14:59] Step one is to start making a list of all the things you do that require energy and just know that. If each activity leaves you more or less energized than before.
[00:15:11] You want to build this list over several days? Be super honest with yourself, pretties. You want to go through a day and you really want to pay attention to each thought and write it down.
[00:15:21] just like the Starbucks effect, we spend money a lot of the time without realizing it.
[00:15:27] We have these little energy leaks in life. You want to be really, really onto yourself and writing down the oh, I got this text message while I was driving and I responded.
[00:15:39] Energy leak. Okay.
[00:15:40] If you were a visual person, after doing this over a couple of days, you could create a pie chart for yourself. To see where your energy is currently being allocated in each direction. This visual is super helpful to highlight imbalances and just see how much energy are you putting into the future that you want? How much energy are you putting into coaching?
[00:16:04] It really does come down to math when people aren't getting the results that they want in their life. If we look at your energy, we can see why you are exactly where you are now, which means it's super easy fix. All you need to do is change your energy.
[00:16:15] Step two for your energy audit make a list of all the things you do that provide you with energy. Think of a day where you felt especially energized, or imagine what you would do with a full day by yourself, and add things to the list even if you're not currently utilizing them.
[00:16:30] You want to think about what experiences, what are things that you are thinking, or that you can do for yourself that are nurturing restorative and rejuvenating. My private coaching clients tell me how our weekly sessions give them so much power to go through.
[00:16:46] Step three is you want to identify things that are both requiring and providing energy. Energetic, expenditures that would be neutral.
[00:16:56] Step four is you want to look at all the areas where you're spending your energy.
[00:17:00] So you wrote down, you went through a typical day, all the thoughts that you have. You made a list of all the things that provide you with energy. And then you found some that are neutral, but now we're going to look at all the leaks. You want to look at where you're spending your energy.
[00:17:16] Like where are all the unmade decisions? Write them all out until you can't stop thinking about them anymore.
[00:17:22] Every time you decide to put something off, you continue to spend energy remembering that you need to do it. And it never quite goes away. You don't realize how much energy you are leaking by procrastinating and you use up a surprising amount of mental space when you continue to tolerate lots of unfinished or unresolved things
[00:17:41] These can be things like, Not taking the two bags of clothes to salvation army or not finishing the garage project that you said you were going to have done by the end of summer. This is where choosing the simple solution over the complexity works.
[00:17:55] Let's say you have a project in your garage that you wanted to finish in August. It is now October and it's not. Hire someone to do it for you. By you hiring that person no matter how much it costs, that is going to take such a huge weight off of you.
[00:18:09] And you don't realize it because you're just leaking all over the place. If your leaky cup and I'm telling you, oh, once I plugged this hole, you're going to have so much more liquid. You're probably not going to believe me because you've been a leaky cup for all that you can remember. .Let's plug those leaks.
[00:18:24] Look at what you're tolerating. Like you could be tolerating something as mundane as a dripping faucet or something as serious as putting up with someone treating you badly, or not breaking up with someone. what is it that you were tolerating, whatever it is it's taking up your time and attention, and it is draining your energy.
[00:18:40] In the short term, it might seem easier to ignore the problem than to do anything about it. Maybe you are believing the story that life is so overwhelming right now, or you're just really used to being on the struggle bus and that it is a normal part of your life. But you don't realize is that continuing to put things off or avoiding doing them is costing you and all the people around you.
[00:19:02] When you start to identify things that you've been tolerating and deal with them, you'll find that you're less stressed and much happier. It is worth the effort it takes to deal with things. And this is also where having a life coach comes in clutch. The beautiful part about this pretties is that when you deal with your energy leaks, even just one right away, you're going to feel better.
[00:19:23] You'll feel calmer and lighter, happier, less stressed, more focused. It's an immediate upgrade. And it's only going to get better from here. Like what fat Joe, nothing can stop me all the way up. That's what happens with your energy leaks. So pick one leak. And a change that you can make and do it.
[00:19:41] Once your energy is going towards the things that directly benefit yourself. Your family or the world, you find a sense of peace and wellbeing that comes from being your authentic self and being very intentional about your energy.
[00:19:57] Now if you have a huge energy leak, that is not going away anytime soon, if that's your situation, I want to encourage you to keep plugging up that energy leak. You can't make your ex-husband vanished from the face of the earth co-parenting or really, really great example of this, but you can set new boundaries with this person. You can also see a coach to help you boost your energy reserves. Change your thoughts and adopt better beliefs about the situation. You can do lots of things to work on this energy leak, and you can make a lot of improvements on your end. No matter what the situation is, no matter how big the leak may be, there's always a way to reduce the amount of leakage that's happening.
[00:20:40] So keep going, keep working, keep improving every little drop of energy that you can reclaim and keep inside your cup. Instead of having it dribble out helps. Making a plan to resolve the energy leaks fills liberated. Even if it's a long-term plan to gradually resolve this energy leak, just having a plan and knowing that you're moving forward in the right direction, it can feel so good.
